|  | HK / PRD Exchange Forum on Enabling Technology for Logistics and Supply Chain Industry & Agreement Signing Ceremony 28 April 2008
   The LSCM R&D Centre is now carrying out a Government funded market study project titled "A Market Intelligence Study on Enabling Technologies for Industries related to Logistics & Supply Chain Management". This Project aims to empower logistics and supply chain community with industry needs and technology capabilities to enhance production and adoption of relevant technologies in the industry. The LSCM R&D Centre is delighted to have Lingnan (University) College, Sun Yat-Sen University (SYSU) and Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) participating in this project as collaborating organizations. In view of this important cooperation, an agreement signing ceremony was held on 28 April at Guangzhou and kick-started the process of gathering broad market intelligence in HK and PRD.   It  was  our  great pleasure  to  have the following  honorable  guests  joining  this  event, they included:  Professor Chen Ping, Vice President of Lingnan (University) College,  SYSU; Professor  Lifan  (Frank) Wu,  Dean  of  Lingnan (University) College, SYSU; Professor Zhongfei Li, Chief of Social Science Office of Lingnan (University) College, SYSU, Director of Center for Financial Engineering & Risk Management;  Professor GongYu Chen, Dean of Department of Logistics Engineering & Management, Director of Research Center for Logistics Technology & Management; Dr. Lawrence Cheung, Principal Consultant of IT Industry Development, Hong Kong Productivity Council; Professor CJ Tan, CEO of the LSCM R&D Centre; Mr. Peter Li, Director of Research and Technology Development of the LSCM R&D Centre and Ms. Yanling Wang, Vice President of Guangdong RFID Technology Service Center.   All the participants were impressed and looked forward to the synergy results of this fruitful collaboration and the project deliverables in the near future.     |

|  |   Organized by the RFID China Alliance with  LSCM R&D Centre as its supporting organization, one of the most influential international RFID events in China - The 6th (Beijing) RFID International Summit will be held on Jun 4-6, 2008 at China International Exhibition Center-Beijing. This year, the LSCM R&D Centre will again take part in the showcase at the RFID Exhibition Area, don't forget to visit our booth at R2 to learn more about our research and technology transfer activities as well as latest solutions provided by our industry members.  
   Apart from exhibition, the LSCM R&D Centre will also co-host a "PRD Exchange Forum on Enabling Technology for Logistics and Supply Chain Industry" with RFID China Alliance. Industry partners and researchers from both mainland China and Hong Kong are invited to give speeches on different areas followed by a networking session, participants can make use of this opportunity to explore industry and research collaborations.
