                        |   | The LSCM R&D Centre exhibited at the HKIA Technovation Conference  and Exhibition 2016 held on 2 November 2016 at Regal Airport Hotel Hong Kong.  Organised by HKIA, this year’s theme was “Smart Airport – Robotics  Applications”, aimed to offer a platform to engage the airport community with  the latest automation technologies and potential solutions to improve both  operational efficiency and passenger experience. The Centre showcased the  latest Robotics and Automation technologies at the booth with demonstration on  the operation of the Robotic Effector System for Label Affixing.  |  |  |

                    |   | The LSCM R&D Centre exhibited at InnoCarnival 2016 held from 29 October  to 6 November at Hong Kong Science Park. Organized by the Innovation and  Technology Commission (ITC), this year’s theme was  “Smart Living.Innovative Hong Kong”,  featured various types of activities, such as exhibitions, workshops, seminars,  science competitions, guided tours, performances and interactive games for  members of the public to gain hands-on and fun-filled experience of the  convenience and fun brought by innovation and technology to their daily life. The Centre took up a  showcase booth to introduce the Centre’s latest technology development and  offer two interesting games namely Pedal out Rainbow Blubs and Virtual Reality for  the public to participate. |  |

                    |   | The LSCM R&D Centre exhibited at ALMC 2016 held from November 22 to  23 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Organized by The  Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Hong Kong Trade  Development Council, this year focused on several hot topics including China’s  “Belt and Road” initiative, the 13th Five-Year Plan, and the latest development  in Cross-border Ecommerce. The programme divided into three main tracks  including SCM & Logistics Forum, Maritime Forum and Air Freight Forum. The Centre  introduced Cold Chain-Transportation, a temperature-controlled supply chain  containing an unbroken series of storing and distributing heat-liable goods. |  |

                    |   | The LSCM R&D Centre exhibited at Inno Design Tech (IDT) Expo 2016  held from December 1 to 3 at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.  Organized by Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the event served as a unique  one-stop platform for creative and technology professionals to meet with  enterprises looking to enhance their competitiveness and find business partners  for the new opportunities emerging in Asia. The Centre demonstrated the  Autonomous Guided Vehicle for Warehouse Management solution along with virtual  reality technology to both local and oversea guests |  |

                    |   | The LSCM R&D Centre supported the Halal Supply Chain Awareness  Seminar held on October 26 at Cyberport. Organized by HKU School of  Professional and Continuing Education (HKU Space), the topic of the seminars focused  on how the new halal logistics concepts and halal global market which have  already been practiced in Malaysia incur a trend of new logistics development  in Hong Kong for handling or processing the Halal food for the Islamic  countries in The Silk Road Economic Belt. |  |
