Riding on  this opportunity, the LSCM R&D Centre had designed two interactive games  for the public to participate: Virtual Reality (VR) Training on Using Heavy  Duty Crane Truck and Creative Selfie Robot.                     |   | The LSCM R&D Centre was excited to participate in the  Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) Technovation Conference and Exhibition  again this year.  Organised by HKIA, the event aims to offer a platform for the  airport community members to ascertain the latest technology and solutions for  operational efficiency and service excellence.With  the theme of “Data Analytics & Intelligence Applications”, LSCM showcased  Apbot with AI Vision of AGVs and demonstrated the delivery of goods  automatically to the designated destination at the airport, in order to enhance  the shopping experience of visitors even just before boarding. |  |

                    | • | Asian Logistics and Maritime  Conference 2017 |  
                    |   | The  LSCM R&D Centre exhibited at ALMC 2017 held on 23-24 November 2017 at the  Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The conference this year focused on  Belt and Road Initiative, E-Commerce and Smart Logistics. Over 2,000 logistics  professionals and users from all over the world joined this 2-day event. The  Centre introduced Autonomous Guided Vehicle (AGV), which is an innovative  solution for local warehouses management. The  Chief Executive Officer of the LSCM R&D Centre, Mr Simon Wong, was invited  to be the moderator for the panel discussion of “Based on the construction of  Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area: The new route of development for  modern logistics of Zhuhai”. |  |

                    | • | Software  Components and APIs on e-Cheque Application Forum |  
                    |   | Supported  by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), the LSCM R&D Centre has held  the “Software Components and APIs on e-Cheque Application Forum” on 30 November  2017 at HKMA office. Representatives of industry were invited to the forum and  shared their views and experiences on e-Cheque application  development as well as opportunity ahead. Speakers including Mr Simon Wong, CEO  of the LSCM R&D Centre, Dr CD Shum, Director of Research and Technology  Development of the LSCM R&D Centre, Mr. Benjamin Keung, Project Manager,  Application Development of Hong Kong Interbank Clearing Limited. Industry  representatives Mr. Richard Tang from iASPEC Services Limited and Mr. YY Ng  from MemDB Limited have given exciting sharing which induced great interests  and further discussions from the audiences. |  |

Organized by Hong Kong Trade Development  Council, the event provided  a one-stop platform for enterprises to explore trends in business  transformation through innovation, creativity, application of technology and  market opportunities. The  Centre demonstrated AI Vision of AGVs  and Perception-Guided Robotic Arm Manipulation System  to both local and oversea guests. |  |

                    |   | The  LSCM R&D Centre showcased the RFID Blind Cane Navigation System at  DesignInspire Expo from 7-9 December at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition  Centre. Exhibited  at Urbanovation Pavilion, the LSCM’s RFID Blind Cane System demonstrated the  interconnectedness of technology and design. The Chief Executive of HKSAR Ms  Carrie Lam visited our booth and learned more about how this technology helps  integrate the visually impaired into society. Mr Vincent Wong, Senior Project  Manager, Technology Development of LSCM joined the sharing session of “Urbanovation  on Smart City” to introduce RFID Blind Cane System and discussed how technology  contributes to next phase of urban residence. |  |

                    |   | The LSCM R&D Centre exhibited at the Chinese  (Dongguan) International Science and Technology Cooperation Week 2017 held from  8 to 10 December 2017 at Dongguan International Convention and Exhibition Center.  It provided a platform for promoting international scientific and technological  exchanges and cooperation between Guangdong Province and worldwide. With the  theme of “Promoting S&T cooperation and matching research with production  for a better future”, the Centre showcased RFID Blind Cane System and Baby Tag  and Baby Tracking Management Control System. |  |
