Media Tour of Real-time Environmental Monitoring System for Museums
Collaborated with The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), the LSCM R&D Centre has successfully developed a “Real-time Environmental Monitoring System” to preserve national treasures in a more comprehensive way. The system has made its debut in the Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: “Western Scientific Instruments of the Qing Court” exhibition at Hong Kong Science Museum to monitor temperature, humidity, illumination, ultraviolet (UV) radiation, vibration of exhibits from the Palace Museum in real-time for 24 hours. A media tour was arranged on 6 August to preview this innovative technology. Delegation visit of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region government officials
The LSCM R&D Centre received a delegation visit from the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region County Officials on 22 July. The purpose of the visit was to learn about the Centre’s R&D effort in logistics and related sectors. The delegates particularly showed interest in the RFID-enabled baby tag and tracking technology.

The LSCM R&D Centre received a delegation visit from the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Port and Shipping Administration Bureau on 19 June. The visitors were introduced with the Centre’s latest R&D deliverables and projects related to port and shipping development. They also showed lots of interest in the advance trucks’ arrival notification system for logistics handling and the construction site safety systems. The guests discussed and shared different points of view actively.

Visit of Senior Representatives from the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation
Mrs Fanny Law, GBS, JP, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Mr Allen Ma, Chief Executive Officer of the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation visited the LSCM R&D Centre on 22 December 2014 to exchange views on Hong Kong’s latest technology development. Mr Simon Wong, our Chief Executive Officer, introduced the LSCM’s development of core competencies in logistics and supply chain related technologies to the guests.  They were impressed by the innovative ideas and inventions, as well confirmed the Centre’s contribution to Hong Kong.

LSCM’s Technologies Demonstration to Representatives of WHO
The LSCM R&D Centre was proud to demonstrate the enabling technologies for the elderly to Dr Lisa Warth and Dr Anjana Bhushan from the World Health Organization (WHO) while they visited Clague Garden Estate on 30 Oct 2014.  Our Chief Executive Officer, Mr Simon Wong, introduced the LSCM’s technologies to the WHO reps, as well as Prof Alfred Chan, BBS, JP, Chairman of Elderly Commission and Dr Cheung Moon Wah, General Manager (Elderly Services) of Hong Kong Housing Society, and the guests were excited about how RFID improves quality of life of seniors.

Delegation from HKU IMBA 2014
On 30thJuly, the LSCM R&D Centre received a delegation visit from both HKU and Fudan University. The visitors were introduced with LSCM’s latest R&D harvest by our Business Development team. Besides the presentations, the delegates got deeper understanding on the technologies and projects through the miniatures and interactive demonstrations in our showroom. They showed lots of interest in the role and operation of the LSCM R&D Centre as well as applications of RFID in different trade sectors. They discussed and shared different points of view actively. The discussion on the application of RFID was fruitful.
