Software Engineer (Quality Assurance) (QA)

Position Summary

We are looking for a self-motivated and detail-oriented Software Engineer (QA) with about 5 years of experience to join our quality assurance team. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test plans to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. He/She will help us maintain our standards for quality and reliability across our solutions.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements.
Execute manual and automated tests to identify bugs and ensure software functionality.
Collaborate with development teams to understand product features and provide feedback on quality and usability.
Report, track, and verify bugs using bug tracking tools such as JIRA or similar.
Participate in design reviews and requirement analysis to ensure testability and quality.
Perform regression testing and support release activities.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
Assist in developing automated testing frameworks and scripts when applicable.
Document test results and generate testing reports for stakeholders.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
At least 3 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance.
Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
Experience with manual testing as well as automated testing tools and frameworks.
Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, JMeter, Selenium, or similar.
Knowledge of programming/scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, or JavaScript) is a plus.
Understanding of web technologies, APIs, and database testing.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Good command of English, Cantonese and Mandarin (spoken and written) will be advantage.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
Knowledge of performance testing tools is an advantage.

Additional Preferences:

Immediate availability preferred
Background in data analytics or machine learning (beneficial but NOT necessary)
