Asian Logistics, Maritime and Aviation Conference (ALMAC) 2021
Jointly organised by the Government of the HKSAR and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the 11th edition of the Asian Logistics, Maritime and Aviation Conference (ALMAC) took place on 2-3 November 2021. Mr Simon Wong, Chief Executive of LSCM, was the moderator of the InnoTalks at the event. And LSCM showcased several latest logistics technologies developed by the Centre, namely Tele-Control Warehouse Stackers Using 5G, Deliverbot and e-Logistics Translation on Cloud. The visitors were interested in understanding how these technologies could help with the logistics efficiency in business operation.

InnoCarnival 2021
Organised by the Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC), the InnoCarnival 2021 was held at the Hong Kong Science Park from 23-31 October 2021 to promote the convenience and comfort brought by innovation and technology to the general public. LSCM also took part in the event to showcase the Robo9 and Deliverbot. Particularly, two interactive technology games including the Voice Control Robotic Arm and Tele-Control Warehouse Stacker Using 5G were designed for the public to enjoy the fun of using technology. The interactive games were very popular and attracted many visitors to LSCM booth.

City I&T Grand Challenge Grand Pitch
The City I&T Grand Challenge Grand Pitch organised by Innovation and Technology Commission was held on 16 October 2021 at Hong Kong Science Park. The innovators of the shortlisted projects in the City I&T Grand Challenge competed for the top prizes at the event while some state-of-the-art technologies were showcased in the exhibition. To let the public learn more about LSCM’s robotics technologies, the Deliverbot was demonstrated in the exhibition with favourable comments received.

LOGTECH Expo 2021
LSCM took part in the LOGTECH Expo 2021 organised by Transport and Housing Bureau and Hong Kong Productivity Council to showcase the Deliverbot on 15 October 2021. The Expo aimed at keeping local Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) abreast of the latest technological trends of the logistics sector and providing more information about the government funding available for business upgrading and transformation. Mr Simon Wong, Chief Executive Officer of LSCM, was a speaker at the event to share the latest trends of logistics technology.

LSCM Logistics Summit 2021
Under the theme of “Innovate and Revitalise to win over the COVID-19”, government officials, industry experts, business leaders and academia representatives came together to share the challenges brought by the pandemic and how to revitalise the logistics community using innovation and technology. LSCM presented a series of newly developed technologies for the logistics and other related sectors. Showcased technology innovations by LSCM included the Tele-Control Warehouse Stackers Using 5G, Deliverbot, Smart System for e-Commerce / e-Logistics Transaction on Cloud, Technologies for COVID-19, Outdoor Iot Sensing Network and Data Management Platform for Tree Management and Smart Barrier System, along with others developed in collaboration with its partner organisations.

Delegation visit from the Management Committee of Pilot Subsidy Scheme for Third-party Logistics Service Providers
On 10 August, Legislative Councillor (Transport), Hon Frankie YICK, Deputy Secretary for Transport and Housing, Ms Christina CHONG, and Chief Operating Officer of Hong Kong Productivity Council, Ms Vivian LIN, with other management committee members, visited LSCM’s Science Park office. Mr. Simon Wong, CEO of LSCM, and the team introduced and demonstrated our major technology to our guests, such as robotics technologies, technologies for COVID-19 vaccination programme, RFID technologies, etc.
